October - Movie Challenge

Well, I was blog hopping and I stumbled back over to Good Golly Miss Holly's blog and I looked at the 2011 Movie Challenge. I'd been meaning to review some movie so I think I'll do this every month for the rest of 2011. Just a quick review of the movies I've seen this October. It helps me cross movies off my To-Watch list, too.

 Movies I SawThis Month:

Black Swan on October 4th

Rating: 5/5

I loved this movie a lot. Written beautifully. Basically a masterpiece. Then ending confused me a bit, but, hey, it's a psychological thriller. That's what they do.

The Back Up Plan on October 24

Rating: 4.5/5

I loved this movie and not just because it was a romantic comedy. I loved Alex O' Loughlin acting. Jennifer Lopez's acting was alright, but it was kinda: NEHHH. The story-line was fun and new. So 4.5 out of 5 seemed good enough.

Push on October 13

Rating: 3.2/5

The plot is soooo over-used. If you over use the plot, at least make the movie exciting. Not trying to be rude or anything. Just stating the truth. I mean, it had it's good point where I was like: OH MY GOSH WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT! Otherwise, the only reason I brought it up to a 3 was Dakota Fanning.

My Sister's Keeper on October 30

Rating: 5/5

I LOVED this movie. Really LOVED it. It was moving and fun, just amazing. I even actually cared for the characters in the movie, even though they're just actors. I felt their pain. Reminds me of that book: Before I Die by Jenny Downham, without some aspects. Really great movie.

That's all, buddies. Have a Happy Halloween. I just might post pictures up tommorrow. So cross your fingers.

  1. I'm so bad about watching the new movies! Generally, I just flip to whatever's on TV. I'm ashamed to admit that the newest movie I've seen lately was Thor, which was hideous. So much potential just wasted. *sigh*

  2. Oh my. It was? I heard it was good, I was thinking about getting it on DVD. I might have to think again about that. I am a movie addict. I love them.:D

  3. I still can't make myself watch My Sister's Keeper - I don't want to cry. I actually liked Thor, and I was surprised. I think the scenes where Thor is in our world are the best, the scenes in his are a little too long...but the comic relief of Kat - freaking awesome.

  4. It was a real tear-jerker, I could see why. Hmmmmm. Thor? Its a 50-50 thing. I'm gunna Redbox IT!:
