Supernaturally By Kiersten White Book Review

Supernaturally (Paranormalcy, #2)Supernaturally
By Kiersten White

Date Published: July 26, 2011 by HarperTeen
Page Numbers: 336 pages
Source: My lovely, lovely library in which this book is now overdue. Bad, bad blogger.
Format: Hardback
Cover Love: I like the redness going on. Also, I really like the correlation with the background and the dress.

Summary: Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal.

My Thoughts: I now have a habit of now posting late at night, watching tv shows on my D VR. So anyways, I can't believe how much I've missed Evie and her crazy misadventures. Its so fun and just exactly what I expected. Even more! It was thrilling, it was hilarious! Kiersten's writing did not let me down, it was just as quirky and cute as Paranormalcy, which I love because sometimes sequels do not live up to the original book. Lets just say after reading this book, it was like opening the door to a breath of fresh air.

Well Evie's been living it up in the normal world and she must now live with her choice, which she isn't so sure about if it was the right choice. She feels she doesn't belong everywhere, but this thought is just an occasional thought, until this mysteriously talented boy, Jack, comes along fueling her mind with all sorts of ideas. One thing I didn't enjoy is Jack's character, not that he was just annoying, he was, but his character needed more depth. He just seemed there and it bugged me. Carlee's character also. I liked her and wish we had more of here. And one last thing I didn't like...The fact the book started to focus mainly on Evie's relationship. I mean, its a paranormal romance, but we don't want romance as the main focus. The ending blew me away and even though Evie made a lot of bad choices throughout the book it made her, I don't know, more real to me. I can't wait to read the next book.

Late night review, again.
Happy Readings,
Kandee
