Movie Review: Butter

Butter (2011)
Starring: Jennifer Gardner, Ty Burrell, Hugh Jackman, Ashley Greene and Alicia Silverstone
Summary: In small-town Iowa, an adopted girl discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town's annual contest.

My Thoughts: There's a stripper, an adopted girl and an uptight housewife. They all are competing for one thing, so be champion butter sculptor for their town. All for different reasons are they entering this unusual competition like revenge and such. I heard about this movie a long time ago and I forgot about it, I never even saw it on TV commercials and so one fateful day, I am flipping through Netflix and I see this pop up and I so I watched this.

I don't know why it interested me, the butter competition, but it did and so I really enjoyed it. With it's subtle humor, its anything, but unusual, it's a bit touching actually. The women of this movie are the strongest points of the movie, Jennifer Gardner and Olivia Wilde are amazing in this movie and I originally only saw this movie for Jennifer Gardner's acting, she was nothing shy of amazing. Other people feel her to be annoying, but those are the characters she plays. They're suppose to be annoying, so ultimately she'd be annoying.

Although this movie has a lot of political aspects to it, its still very touching.  It's not:

Amazing, but it's still a good movie. Sometimes it can get a bit cheesy, but you'll stick through it. Trust me.

And I didn't intent to have a pun there.
