Movie Review: L!fe Happens

L!fe Happens (2010)
Starring: Kate Bosworth, Krysten Ritter, Jason Biggs, Rachel Bilson and Kristen Johnson
Summary: Kim becomes pregnant after a one-night-stand so she turns to her friends for help.

My Thoughts: So I was flipping through Netflix and I saw this and it peeked my interest because I have an addiction to doe eyed-black haired women, sporting a 90's haircut. Very Zooey Deschanel-esque. And it starts off with the two roommates, Deena and Kim, (Bosworth and Ritter) each about to go about having sex and they realize they don't have condoms and so, they go scrounging around the house for condoms. They only find out and Deena takes it. Leaving Kim to have unprotected sex and leaving her pregnant.

A year later, she's living with her roommates and her baby, who is adorable, I must mention. Throughout the movie we are left with hilarious moments, well, not all hilarious, and hot guys. Not all hot, I must say. And I must say this movie is one I'm going to remember for a while. I don't know if it's just movies about babies in general that get me, or if it's the fact that it was just that special. The way they acted this, it felt so realistic.

It's something I could see my friends and I being like, scratch the getting pregnant, running out of condoms and having unprotected sex part. But the way they interacted with each other, it was touching. My favorite being Krysten. She's always so bubbly and fun and out there with the things she does.

It was a kind of sit in the house and enjoy kind of movie, one I enjoyed a lot.

I hope you will too.
Happy Readings,
Kandee
