The Great Gatsby: Book or Movie?

Hello, hello all.

Well today, we are going to talk about....

Dun, dun, dun, dun, duuuuun.

The Great Gatsby!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I will, I will. Regardless if it's now, or in two weeks, or until it comes on Redbox and I get un-lazy and go and get it.

BUT I will. But should I see the movie or just go and read the book first!?

All I get from my friends are mixed answers. What should I do? I know I'm in high school and I probably should have ALREADY read the book, but my teacher sucks.

Like seriously, we haven't done a think you'd think was "literary." I hope she doesn't see this.

But yeah, I feel like I should read the book, but I honestly don't know. When I read the book, I feel better about seeing the movie and then I'll have no doubts when I compare the movie to the book.

If I see the movie first, then I'm like:

And after I read the book, I'm like:

I did that with Twilight and never even finished the series.

So help, please!?

  1. I say movie! I read the book in hs and honestly it was pretty torturous. The movie has to be way better.

    1. Oh my! My friends that read it now are all raving about it. How they lie to me, gosh. :C

      Movie it is then!
